Laser Treatments

Vbeam (pulsed dye laser)
Skin conditions that result in redness from broken or inflamed blood vessels are most effectively treated with a vascular laser called Vbeam. With a specific ability to “take the red out,” Vbeam is used to remove redness left after acne, for small spider veins on the face and body and for the control of redness and facial flushing from Rosacea.

QuadraLASE
Candela has created a highly successful fractional laser system for minimally ablative laser skin resurfacing. The QuadraLASE system combines the performance of a CO₂ laser with an innovative scanning system which gives practitioners a complete solution for skin rejuvenation and skin tightening. Whether practitioners are treating wrinkles, uneven tone and texture, sun damage, acne scarring, unwanted skin tags, benign pigmented lesions, or any other facial skin ailment, the QuadraLASE can provide safe, effective results.

Pigmented Laser Treatment
The condition called Melasma and post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation, which is the excess production of skin pigment melanin (dark patches of skin) is most commonly treated with pigmented laser treatments.

Eclipse Micropen
A sterile cartridge tip containing 12 points is attached to the Eclipse MicroPen®. A thin layer of solution, such as medical-grade saline solution, will be applied to your skin and the appropriate pen setting is based on your unique needs. Next, in a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.
The Micropen treats the appearance of fine lines and acne scars, and improves the overall appearance of skin by producing collagen and elastin. The benefits of micro-needling can include a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, younger-looking skin with fewer signs of aging. Eclipse MicroPen® can also have a positive effect on the appearance of hyper-pigmentation, dark spots, acne scars and stretch marks and create a fresher appearance or glow to the skin.
Some patients only require a single treatment, once per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars, your skin care provider in Tennessee may recommend 6-8 sessions at 6 week intervals.

Pellevé
Pellevé precisely heats the deep layers of your skin using advanced radio frequency technology without damaging the epidermis, or top later. The heat causes the collagen in your skin to contract and tighten. After the treatment, your skin will start to produce new collagen. The result is an improvement in skin quality, firmness and tightness you can see and feel.

Chemical Peels

A chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Deep exfoliation of the epidermis designed to aid in improving the texture and tone of the skin. Peels are most effective when done in a series of 6 treatments.

Alphahydroxy Acids (AHAs)
Alphahydroxy Acids (AHAs), such as glycolic, lactic, or fruit acids are the mildest of the peel formulas and produce light peels. These types of peels can provide smoother, brighter-looking skin.
With a AHA peel, the temporary redness, flaking and dryness that you experience will not prevent you from working or engaging in your normal activities. A fresher and improved skin texture will result with continued AHA treatments.

• Can be mixed with bleaching agent to correct pigment problems

Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)
TCA can be used in many concentrations, but it is most commonly used for medium-depth peeling. Fine surface wrinkles, superficial blemishes and pigment problems are commonly treated with TCA.
With a TCA peel, you may experience some swelling and redness. This will subside within the first week. In about a week to ten days, your new skin will be apparent.

• May require pre-treatment with Retin-A or AHA creams
• Treatment takes only 10-15 minutes
• Repeat treatment may be needed to maintain results

Jessner Peel
The Jessner peel is a chemical facial peel solution that provides a medium-depth peel. Jessner may be applied before a TCA peel of various concentrations to treat acne scarring (superficial, atrophic scars). The Jessner solution increases the penetration of TCA and can promote a more even peel.

VI Peel
The VI Peel is a combination of several of the most effective medical peel agents available and requires no skin prep, very little downtime, and yields virtually no pain.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion makes your skin look and feel smoother and look fresher and brighter by exfoliating dead skin cells. It may also diminish the appearance of skin discolorations such as from acne and works best on fine lines and wrinkles, but it is not meant for deep lines.

Mega Peel & Exfoliation Treatments
Microdermabrasion (Medical Grade) is a skin-freshening technique that helps repair facial skin that takes a beating from the sun and the effects of aging. The aesthetician uses a device to spray tiny crystals across the face, mixing gentle abrasion with suction to remove the dead, outer layer of skin. As with other skin rejuvenation techniques, more than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation. Dermaplane
Safe, non-invasive treatment performed as a form of exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and effectively smooth acne scars. Dermaplaning is used as a standalone treatment or prior to other skin care procedures to enhance effectiveness.

Laser Hair Removal

Candela® GentleYAG
An excellent hair removal laser. By targeting the hair follicle deeply in the dermis of the skin, it can create significant reduction in hair counts. Candela®’s Dynamic Cooling of the skin further protects the upper layers of the skin from unwanted side effects. The Nd:YAG laser is an infrared laser that delivers invisible energy deeply into the skin. By heating its targets slowly, it is very effective and safe. This is especially true for darker skinned individuals who would not normally be candidates for laser procedures.

GentleLASE
Candela’s premiere hair removal laser; it treats patients quickly, comfortably and effectively. The causes and treatments for unwanted hair are numerous, each year more treatments boast being the ‘best new treatment for removal of unwanted hair’.
