Ethan Montemayor, MD

Dr. Montemayor is a General Surgeon with specialized training in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques across a broad range of surgical procedures. He attended the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate degree. He completed a two year teaching fellowship through Notre Dame at a parochial school in Southern California while earning his Master’s in Education. Dr. Montemayor then attended medical school at Boston University and completed his general surgery training at University of Tennessee Health Science Center – Nashville. He is Resident Education Chief at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Nashville and serves as the Tennessee American College of Surgeons Resident Representative. He served as the Education Chief for the UTHSC-Nashville residency program and continues to work with trainees. He also remains involved in the Tennessee American College of Surgeons. He and his wife have two daughters, enjoy cooking, hiking and college football.
