Our Providers Offer Surgical Care – Close to Home

The Surgical Clinic was founded in 1997 by a group of Middle Tennessee Surgeons. Those founding physicians represented many specialties of surgical practice. Their goal was to work together to develop patient-focused surgical care practices that would be conveniently located for patients to be able to have access to needed surgical procedures close to home.

The founding surgeons represented specialties such as General Surgery, a practice that focuses on problems with a patient’s abdominal area, Breast Surgery, Bariatric/Weight-Loss Surgery, Oncology/Cancer Surgery, Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery and Vascular Surgery.

Twenty years later The Surgical Clinic is continuing to attract Middle Tennessee’s talented surgeons and is one of the area’s most respected practices of surgeons. Today, The Surgical Clinic surgeons can be found in Murfreesboro, Smyrna, Franklin, Hermitage, Mt Juliet, Lebanon, Columbia, Dickson and Fairview in addition to multiple locations within Davidson County.

Recognizing a need to provide patients with an efficient, easy-to-schedule place to get basic lab testing done, The Surgical Center’s Vascular Service opened two locations for Laboratory work to be accomplished. This one-stop shop enables patients to get diagnostic tests completed and results into the surgeon’s hands in order to plan efficiently for next steps, whether that includes surgery of other types of follow up care.

The Surgical Clinic also opened a dedicated Imaging Center. This facility provides often same-day appointment scheduling for patients to obtain reliable Ultrasound and CT scans to aid in determining an accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients.

Rounding out the growth was the addition of a dedicated outpatient Vascular Surgical location to enable patients to return home the same day as their procedures.

The Vascular Surgeons have also collaborated to develop a state-of-the-art Prosthetic Service. The downtown Nashville location works in concert with patients, highly skilled Prosthetics experts, the Engineering Program at Vanderbilt University and the Vascular Surgeons of The Surgical Clinic. The goal is to help patients recover from surgery and become independent with prosthetic devices fitted to optimize pain-free movement throughout a normal day’s activity.

Twenty years of growth and rapid changes in technology and surgical technique have enabled The Surgical Clinic to add specialty areas and broaden the surgical team, but its mission of providing state-of-the-art surgical care in locations that keep patients close to home has never changed. We are honored that you are partnering with us for your own healthcare needs
