Why We Walk: Supporting PanCAN with Purpose 💜
Every step makes a difference.
This April, The Surgical Clinic is proud to participate in PurpleStride Tennessee—a nationwide movement led by the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) that raises vital funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.
This year, Dr. Mariana Chavez is leading Team TSC at the Nashville walk. On Saturday, April 26, 2025, we’ll join survivors, caregivers, and supporters for a powerful day of hope and healing at the Nashville Fairgrounds (Fair Park).
We walk to support:
-
-
Earlier detection and better treatment options for one of the deadliest cancers in the U.S.
-
Funding for life-saving research and clinical trials that give patients more time with their loved ones.
-
Support for families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis—because no one should go through it alone.
-
Raising awareness in our local community and beyond, so more people know the signs and symptoms.
-
Empowering survivors, honoring fighters, and remembering those we’ve lost with every step we take.
-
Groundbreaking research and clinical initiatives
-
Education and advocacy for families affected by pancreatic cancer
