Speciality Training Our Advanced Practitioners Benefits Surgical Patients

The Surgical Clinic has employed a cadre of highly skilled Advanced Practitioners, including Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Occupational Therapists and Prosthetics experts as in integral part of the team of clinicians who are dedicated to your care. Just as the Surgeon has specialty training in their respective areas of surgical care, these dedicated care professionals each brings a broad knowledge and experience in caring for patients within their respective specialties.

Their certifications and degrees reflect the advanced practice disciplines (graduate education) provided by Nursing, Physician Assistant, Occupational Therapy and Prosthetics. The various certifications are indicated after their names. These certifications reflect advanced study and training as well as written examinations taken after a period of supervised work following graduation from their respective graduate schools.

Each Advanced Practitioner works closely with one or more of the Surgeons seeing patients both before, during the day of and following surgery. Their job is to insure that you are fully informed about what is happening, have a chance to ask any remaining questions and have access to various kinds of care that may not require your surgeon to complete. Working in closes collaboration, these dedicated Advanced Practitioners can facilitate and speed your access to the care and services you may need.

We are excited to share biographical information about each of the Advanced Practice Providers at The Surgical Clinic. We invite you to get to know this important part of your care team by clicking on the link on this website. Like you, they live in the community they serve and understand the desire you have to include key family members or friends from your support team in the process of heading toward surgery. In their Bios you will find information about where they each went to school and an introductory video about what they do at The Surgical Clinic and even things they do with family and friends. Our goal is to make sure that you know a little about them before you meet them for an appointment.
